LEED / Green Credits

Fireshell® and StructureSaver® fire resistant coatings are non-toxic, drain safe, water-based, and no fuming. Our fire protection products are not only fire resistant but they are also tested in accordance with SCAQMD—South Coast Air Quality Management District. Our products are more energy-efficient and water-efficient than similar products, and recyclable or biodegradable after use. These products contribute to USGBC LEED credits.

MR credit 1.1 (1.2): Building Reuse: Maintain 75% (95%) of Existing Walls, Floors & Roof

EA Credit 1- Energy & Atmosphere – Optimize Energy Performance: (2-10 points) assists in reducing energy use based on ASHRAE/IESNA Standard 90.1-1999

Fireshell F10E coating over closed and open cell Insulating foam provides IBC compliance without a thermal barrier.

EQ Credit 4.2 – Indoor Environmental Quality – Low-Emitting Materials: Paints & Coatings (1 point) Listed

All Fireshell® coatings comply with VOC limits of Green Seal Standard GS-11 via being approved by SQAMD.
